Nagini Boa

My albino boa Nagini.

He's a lot bigger now.

He was one of a male/female pair of albinos that came in the Reptile Haven (one of the best reptile shops in Ireland) in Dublin.

The guy who the snakes had come from in London had them in the wrong bags. He had Nagini in the bag marked as female and vice versa. I thought I was getting the female, I already had a male/female pair of hets (meaning they carry the recessive gene) for albino, I thought I had two females and one male (was planning on breeding the females on alternate years), but it was two males and one female. I'll be buying another albino (this time hopefully a female) to breed to the male het, you get healthier babies (less inbreeding) if you breed full albinos to hets rather than albino to albino, even though you'll end up with less albinos per litter.

Nagini wasn't cheap, but if I should make my money back on all three snakes the first time I breed them.

I don't care if I never get a single albino baby when I breed them, just having this lovely snake is good enough for me, babies will just be an added bonus.

He's named after Voldemort's snake in Harry Potter
